A deserted castle in the middle of a forest in Italy. The building was originally built in the Moorish style in 1605 and fully restored from 1853 to 1889. After WWII, it was used as a hotel. An ultimately unsuccessful hotel, unfortunately, as it has been empty since 1999.
The castle itself is rather like a stern fortress on the outside. You would never expect it to be like a fairy tale on the inside! Every space is a different shape and decorated in a different colour, from subtle tones of grey and beige to bright hues of purples and blue. A veritable feast for the eye.
