This beautiful manor house has been abandoned for 10 years now because the heirs cannot come to an agreement on the estate. A terrible shame as deterioration is a relentless beast.
The manor was built in 1860 on a large open grassy plain. The building itself is rectangular with four corner towers, and is quite spectacular with its multitude of bedrooms and more than 340 windows! The grand hall is magnificent in soft white marble.
Two years ago, we tried unsuccessfully to get inside. This time we were able to attend the public sale and view the property during an open house. There were, of course, a large number of visitors also curious to see the place, which made it rather difficult to photograph the rooms without random strangers walking through the frames!
This manor is truly a marvellous residence, and it would be such a shame if the family cannot reach a solution and let the building crumble to dust while they argue.
